Hilton London Gatwick Airport
When I arrived at Gatwick Airport North and a short wait for my baggage, I then took the quick monorail to the South Terminal to then head to the hotel, this was very easy to find and nice and quick, after a short walk from the terminal and a walkway to the car park at the hotel and up one floor on the lift and then just a very short from there it was nice and easy to reach.
By the time I arrived at the hotel it was only around 1.30pm and I was very lucky to have been upgraded to the exec room by noting my interest at the cost of £40 extra which is great as part of the benefit you get free WiFi and access to the Hilton Exec Lounge where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks which was lovely and peaceful a great way to unwind to be ready for your travel the next day!
The room I was allocated was of great size while aircraft do pass the room I was in you could not hear anything which was wonderful and made for a great nights sleep.
For dinner I went to the Garden Restaurant which had a buffet and the meat of the evening was turkey, although there was plenty of other food you could help yourself to if you didn’t fancy the turkey.
I did not see any dated areas in the hotel, where I was and the hotel is very well kept, all staff at the hotel are helpful and friendly.
Watch out for the ATM located in the hotel as this will charge you, instead take the short walk to the South Terminal where there is a free ATM allocated by the shops.
Overall I have enjoyed the stay at the hotel, which was lovely and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay the night prior to their holiday or, if you return back late at night its also a good place to get your head down.
