Today I thought I would give a bit of a chat about my Scuba Diving in Egypt experience.
What can I say?
This started back in September 2013 when sadly I had lost a family member and used the money to go to Egypt to the Sentido Reef Oasis where on my weeks holiday I took a spur of the moment decision, I want to learn Scuba Diving and well what can I say? I went on from that holiday to complete my PADI Open Water Course with the Reef Oasis Dive Club and it was one great experience and while you did have to learn, it fitted around the holiday you were on and it was such a great experience with brilliant staff.
The following year in June 2014, I went back to the Reef Oasis Beach Resort where I decided not a spur of the moment this time but because I loved the last trip I decided that I would progress and complete my PADI Advanced Open Water Course, not only that I also done a Underwater Naturalist and a Underwater Photographer course all in the two weeks during my stay there and as last time it was brilliant, it was even better as they remembered me from my last visit with them and with that they appointed the same instructor as the last time which was great.
Later in 2014 back in the UK I completed the PADI Nitrox Course as well as the Dry Suit Speciality
The Dry Suit Speciality was brilliant, but brrrrrrr it was cold, in December at Loch Long where there was hail stones out of the water and was so nice to get under the water as you got used to the temperature quite quick!
Then, you can guess what happened, I went back to the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in May 2015 for yet another holiday, yes I know crazy going back but I love this hotel, the staff are great and the dive club is brilliant, infact I’m already planning on going back next year.
During my stay at in 2015 I completed a lot of dives during the holiday to get my dive count and my experience up where after the two weeks I left turkey with 39 dives in my logbook, amazing!
As they say, practice makes perfect, by the end of the holiday I was jumping into the sea perfectly, I had managed to perfect by buoyancy in the water further to this, it was the first holiday where I owned all of my own scuba equipment, you could not miss me in the water!
Anyway, I will leave you with this thought and the above image.
Now I am going to be focusing on my future as part of my Dive Master Internship who knows what level of PADI I will be at next year or planning, maybe the future will be Instructor or Assistant Instructor, who knows!
