So for a while now I have been thinking of getting a new and improved dive watch as an upgrade to my Suunto Hel02 which I have had for a while now but found a bit too big sized.
After having a look and still loving the Suunto Dive Watches the D5 came out with so many features I thought that it would be great to have as a dive computer.
The D5 new to the market in 2019 is jam-packed with many great new features which include
- Rechargeable via USB
- Colour Interface
- Bluetooth, allowing you to sync your dives straight to your mobile phone using the Suunto App
- Built in compass
At the time of writing I haven’t used the watch for diving but, soon I will so I will be sure to give you all a follow up on how I found the watch it’s self while out diving.
My first impressions of the watch is that I love it! It’s is light weight easy to use and see the screen with the different modes.
One thing that I had to get used to is how to enter the watch’s menu which is done by holding in the middle button for a few seconds, when this has been done you will find the settings you need to turn on and off anything as required.
You can set the screen brightness as needed as well, but don’t forget depending what settings you have turned on the battery can be used up more quickly.
